Dubai Energy-from-Waste — Air Cooled Condensers
Supply and fabrication of the air-cooled condenser structure and low-pressure steam ductwork for the world's largest energy-from-waste plant, in joint venture with the technology provider.
The scope
Nearly 2,000 tonnes of structural steel for the air-cooled condenser, pre-fabricated and transported to site. Low-pressure steam ductwork connecting the turbine building to the ACC with distribution and bypass ducts, from Ø 6.5 m down to Ø 0.85 m — just over 700 tonnes when assembled.
Site works
Pre-assembly of fans, motors, coils and ductwork, and transportation and lifting of the assembled modules into final position.
