The project
Borouge 4 is the expansion that makes Ruwais one of the world's largest polyolefin complexes. For main contractor Tecnimont, Cylingas delivered the ethylene storage tank, working with TG Engineering of Germany on the cryogenic design.
The scope
A Ø 41.0 m × 25.0 m tank storing 25,000 m³ of ethylene at cryogenic temperature: 9% nickel steel inner tank, reinforced-concrete outer wall, complete with piping, instrumentation, platforms and ancillary systems.
